Community Health Worker (CHW) Disaster Training

Register today to attend a FREE Community Health Worker (CHW) Disaster Training on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Opa-Locka Community Development Corporation.

Participants will add disaster preparedness to their arsenal of knowledge and will be better equipped to embrace and navigate impacted neighborhoods across the county. The RESTORE trained participant will be able to assist individuals in neighborhoods by reducing the need for emergency services and/or manage scarce resources until professional aid is available.

The CHW Disaster Training Program focus areas are:

• Disaster Preparedness
• Disaster Medical Operations
• Disaster Psychology
• Team Organization and Triage
