The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County will be hosting the Bounty of Health Summer Bash on August 27, 2022, in the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The event will focus on health and wellness highlighting the importance of nutrition, healthy eating, healthy lifestyle and physical activity.
The event is free and open to the public. The community will receive educational materials and resources on chronic disease prevention and education on the importance of nutrition, healthy lifestyle and physical activity. We are expecting over 2,000 Miami-Dade County residents to attend. This event will assist the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County to achieve its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county, and community efforts and our vision to be the healthiest state in the nation.
Please join us on August 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Miami-Homestead Motor Speedway. Lots of fun games, activities, fitness classes, farmers market, food demonstrations and family fun. There will be mobile units providing dental and medical screenings as well as information on healthy aging and Alzheimer’s. With over 50 vendors on site to share information and resources, this will be a fun packed day for the whole family.
