Overview:
This seminar provides professionals the opportunity to enhance skills needed to respond to families experiencing early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or newborn death. Participants learn about the grief process and the uniqueness of perinatal loss. They also gain an increased awareness of families’ needs and wants after the loss of a baby.
Objectives: at the end of the training participants will be able to:
• Define perinatal loss
• Identify common myths and misunderstandings about grief
• Describe ways to assist parents in the grief process
Date: Tuesday, October 22, 2019
Time: 9:30am-12:30pm OR 1:30pm-4:30pm
Light breakfast and afternoon snack will be provided
CEU’s: This program has been independently approved for 3.0 continuing education credits by the Florida Board of Nursing (RN, LPN, ARNP), the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC), the Florida Council of Licensed Midwifery (LM), and the Florida Council of Dietetics and Nutrition (ND, NC) under CE Broker Provider Number 50-18147.
