We will present information on how to facilitate conversations on health equity in times of change and community challenges. From the COVID-19 public health emergency and its impact on minority communities to the nationwide realization that not all is fair or equitable in communities. Attendees will have the exciting opportunity to learn from national leaders in the field of public health. Best practices, lessons learned, and strategies will be shared for leveraging partnerships to improve leadership and organizational thinking to begin those tough conversations towards lasting change and health equity.

At this event, we will have two expert speakers in the field of public health. Dr. Marissa Levine, a professor of the Practice Pathway, from the University of South Florida, College of Public Health. She will be discussing leadership and how to leverage community partnerships to improve Public Health. Liz Spurrell-Huss, Director of Community Education at Montefiore Health System’s Office of Community & Population Health will speak about community health initiatives aimed at improving health and well-being through addressing social determinants of health.
