Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

About Us
This committee addresses chronic disease prevention through the promotion of healthy lifestyles including good nutrition, regular physical activity and avoiding tobacco products. The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Committee has developed projects to help decrease disparities in our county. This is being done by providing a mechanism to improve screening activities and health services and providing chronic disease prevention programs to underserved communities in Miami-Dade County.
